The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., on January 9, 1914, by the most Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, with the idea of organizing a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. From its inception, the Founders also conceived Phi Beta Sigma as a mechanism to deliver services to the general community. This deep conviction was mirrored in the Fraternity’s motto, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity”.

The Beta Zeta Sigma Graduate Chapter and the Beta Upsilon Undergraduate Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will celebrate their 75th anniversary during homecoming 2023 (Thursday, October 12th through Sunday, October 15th) at Bethune-Cookman University.
We cordially invite you to celebrate with us, as well as contribute to the development of our endowment at Bethune-Cookman University, which is one of the most powerful ways we can support Bethune-Cookman students while leaving an everlasting legacy.
